I’m Joe Koecher, a Chicago-based senior art director and designer with more than 20 years of experience turning complex briefs into clear ideas and thoughtfully crafted design. My work spans brand identities, integrated campaigns, packaging, print, digital experiences, and the spaces where brands meet people.

I’ve developed creative for national and regional brands including Wells Fargo, Citi, Jaguar, Volvo, and Paper Mate. Financial services has been a significant part of my career, sharpening my ability to make complicated information feel approachable while keeping a brand consistent across many channels. I bring that same curiosity, clarity, and attention to detail to every category I work in.

I’m equally comfortable shaping a concept, leading a creative team, and getting into the details of typography and layout. I work closely with writers, strategists, photographers, and production partners to carry an idea from the first conversation through the finished piece. I value honest collaboration, useful feedback, and work that earns its place.
